She’s Entering the Home Stretch!!!

I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited.  Tonight I finished the initial laying out of the final boss battle in the game.  At this point, all levels, bonus levels, and boss battles are set up, or “drafted,” and all that remains on them is tweaking the gameplay.  So for the first time really, Assimilate looks closer to a completed game and I’ve labeled the latest build as beta version 0.75.

My initial goal was to have the game done by the end of August which–of course–was  tonight.  When that became impossible, my next goal was to at least have the game laid out by that point.  Reaching the second goal tonight was pretty cool.  True, there’s still a good chunk to be done.  But make no mistake about it, the game is well on it’s way to being done within a couple months or DEFINITELY by the end of the year.
